January is the perfect time to dive into new hobbies or rediscover ones that have been waiting for a fresh spark. At Aurora Sewing Center, our exciting 2025 Class Calendar offers sewists of all levels the opportunity to learn new techniques, refine existing skills, and connect with fellow enthusiasts—all while embracing the joys of sewing, quilting, embroidery, and more.
Our classes cater to every skill level, whether you’re picking up a needle and thread for the first time, returning after a hiatus, or seeking to master advanced techniques. We’re here to make sewing fun, engaging, and accessible—both in-store and virtually. So, why not make this the year you invest in your creative journey?
Highlighted Classes for January
January's classes are thoughtfully designed to inspire and challenge. From creating stunning quilts to mastering appliqué, there’s something for everyone:
Do you need help from a sewing teacher? Our Sewing Labs are perfect for bringing in an unfinished project or starting a new project and seeking assistance within our classroom. No phone, no interruptions, and lots of fun. All sewing skill levels are welcome.
The New Beginner class program in Victor is a perfect refresher course! Once a week for 4 weeks we will build your sewing skills. Classes go as follows: bowl cozy, pillowcase, easy mitered place mats, and boxed zipper bag. Our Beginner and Refresher Classes are the ideal starting point. Learn foundational techniques, familiarize yourself with modern sewing machines, and complete beginner-friendly projects that build your confidence.
The "Wrapped with Words" series begins on January 10, offering a chance to create a seasonally themed pillow cover each month. These gorgeous patterns will make a beautiful addition to your seasonal decor.
Want to learn how to make clothing? In the Simple Garment class in Victor on 1/11, you'll learn how to read a pattern, get the right size, layout patterns and put together an outfit just for you!
Looking for a sewing class for kids? We've got that, too! Once monthly, we have a class just for our youngest sewers in East Aurora and Williamsville! Our next class is on Saturday, January 11. Visit our Class Calendar to sign up!
Can’t make it to a physical location? No problem! Our virtual classes allows you to join from the comfort of your home. Participate in monthly sessions, access recordings, and stay connected with our vibrant community. Whether it’s snowy outside or you prefer sewing in your PJs, our virtual options have you covered.
There's sew much more!
That's just a preview of the many classes we offer! We encourage you to take a look at our Class Calendar to find a class that interests you. We always have our classes scheduled months in advance, so be sure to keep checking back for updates!
